RHINO WALK
Our most popular short walk. The Rhino walk is a family favourite. It starts in Children's Bay car park and heads uphill through native bush. Keep an eye out for Bell Birds and Wood Pigeons in the bush.
As you approach the top, look out for the family of giraffe and the world-famous Rhino. Lift the kids up for a picture and admire the beautiful 360-degree views of the Takamatua and Akaroa Harbours.

MOA POINT WALK
This is our longest walk with stunning harbour views. It starts with 'The Rhino Walk' from Children's Bay car park and then either takes you around the top of Takamuta or straight up the middle of the park, then links onto a track that takes you right around the headland peninsula through regenerating native bush.
You can drop down into a private stony bay just before you reach Moa Point. From Moa Point there is a bit of a climb to get back up and then you follow the headland round through thousands of young native plants back into Akaroa Harbour. This is a lovely walk for the more adventurous.
To do the full walk please allow 2.5 hours. Take an extra layer of clothing and some water.
